“Warsaw Autumn” is the only internationally-acclaimed festival in Poland that is fully dedicated to contemporary music.
It?s a festival “with memory”: it presents new music in the context of the past, i.e. the context for both classical music and the tradition of the festival.
The basic idea of the 56th edition is New in the context. The programme comprises i.a. three major compositions of Polish masters: Lutosławski, Górecki and Penderecki, which make a context for new music, young generation of composers, latest technologies and modern formulas: performances, installations, space music or audiovisual forms.
