Warsaw Autumn is the only internationally-acclaimed festival in Poland that is fully dedicated to contemporary music.
“Festival slogan: New in context. New, meaning that it has emerged now or very recently. And the context? The works of Witold Lutosławski, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki and Krzysztof Penderecki. Because their birth anniversaries coincide this year: the first was born a hundred years ago, the others eighty years ago. (…) these are figures whose work has entered the canon of contemporary music. And a thought-provoking symbolic fact.”
(from the programme text of the 56th WA – T. Wielecki)
The project includes: posters (main and Little Warsaw Autumn), printed materials (programme books, invitations, guides, tickets), CD packaging and a film spot.
